Who is Ariez Sun?
Ariez Sun is a non-binary theatre artist hailing from Chattanooga, TN. They grew up raised primarily by their mother and grandmother, both of whom gave them their love for music and theatre. They starred in their first play in the 3rd grade and have been following their passion for theatre, music, and storytelling ever since. While currently obtaining their Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre at Austin Peay State University, they have had the opportunity to play many roles they have adored, such as Richard in A New Brain, Harpagon in The Miser, Gen. Waverly in White Christmas, Michael in Tick, Tick... BOOM!, and most recently, Mr. Krabs in The Spongebob Musical at the Chattanooga Theatre Centre.
Outside of Theatre, Ariez has a love of fantasy and comedy, through literature and video games (a rather underrated art form). Their love of media and characters through games, childhood cartoons, and drama have guided them through many facets of entertainment. Like most of Gen Z, shows like Spongebob and Avatar: The Last AirBender were cornerstones of their comedy.
